ABOUT ME
My name is Chelsea Ratilainen. I am Bay Area native and I enjoy seeing the beauty in everything. Since the birth of my daughter, in January 2016, I have been moved and inspired beyond my wildest dreams. I know other parents feel this way too. If we could bottle every milestone and month-birthday and giggle and snuggle, we would...and we would relive them again and again and again. Photography is the closest way I can find to capturing these precious moments.

3 Little Birdies is inspired by the notion that photography is important in between the events where professional photography is customary. If you're anything like me, you'd agree that professional-style pictures should illustrate the story of our lives every step of the way. It's not the destination, it's the journey.
The name, 3 little birdies, is influenced by the song my husband sings to our daughter every morning. He sweetly reminds her not to worry about a thing. I would like that message to characterize my photography practice. It is also a nod to the quest of every busy mom, to knock out 2 to 3 birdies with one little stone. Most of my photography sessions thus far have been play dates, catching up with friends and photography practice all rolled into one. It feels like such a luxury.

I am not a professional. This is an art that brings me joy and fills my heart. My purpose in starting this business is to grow as a photographer and offer an affordable service for all the moments in between.
